About Us

What we do

Journeys for Change helps exceptional leaders create greater impact in the world. We do this by taking them on interactive 'learning journeys' to share and learn about innovation, entrepreneurship and leadership from some of the world’s most inspiring social entrepreneurs.

Why we do what we do

We believe that many of the world's problems - in business, in public life and in civil society - require a new level of leadership.

This new level of leadership is one that is highly agile, innovative and entrepreneurial, that engages stakeholders from multiple sectors, and that successfully includes different cultures and interest groups.

We believe some of the best teachers of this kind of leadership are social entrepreneurs.

Social entrepreneurs imagine solutions where none seemed possible; they leverage huge amounts of value from limited resources; they thrive on change; they don't work so much on fixing the system, but on completely reengineering it.

We believe that by bringing together some of the world's most exceptional senior leaders with some of its most inspiring social entrepreneurs, we can create a powerful experience that has far-reaching impact.

The result? Personal growth. Broadened visions. Unusual learnings. Lifelong friends. And a cadre of leaders with the perspective, the know-how and the networks to bring new solutions to problems in the world.

Our experience

Our team has been running successful learning journeys since 2005. Participants on our journeys have come from organisations as diverse as Nike, JPMorgan, Credit Suisse, the Bertelsmann Foundation, Swedbank, INSEAD and the UK National Health service. They have included senior leaders from the private, public and civil society sectors, social entrepreneurs, entrepreneurs, academics, philanthropists and policy makers. Our alumni network consists of more than 140 exceptional leaders spanning four continents. To date, we have run journeys to more than fifteen cities / towns and seven states / counties in India and the UK.

Our story

Journeys for change was born out of a young, innovative organisation supporting start-up social entrepreneurs (UnLtd); a visionary founding trustee and chief executive (Michael & John); and two individuals from different cultures, who were profoundly touched by the potential of the combination of social entrepreneurship, cultural exchange and leadership development (Pooja & Richard).
